ORIGIN BEACH - An ECCO THE DOLPHIN Collection Site

Music is one of the most important storytelling aspects of Ecco. Despite that, official releases are extremely sparse when you really look into it. The Mega Drive versions of the games have never had any official releases, even in a digital capacity, but thankfully the community has archived and released recordings and rips from those as early as 1999. The Mega CD/PC release however had the bonus of being playable in a conventional CD player; despite that, we saw a special CD release from Spencer Nielsen called Songs of Time that is the only true official singularly Ecco related album released.

Despite that, I've picked up some interesting copies over the years! Probably the most well-known soundtrack for the series beyond that is the bootleg vinyl release, which a few different underground labels have done presses of. It would be very nice to see more official works, but we will have to wait and see.
