Made by the group aerophonon, it is a doujin press of remixes based on music from the first Ecco the Dolphin. For a long time the only two tracks I really had heard was mistura fresca and crystal ocean dub as there were small 1:30 sample MP3s of them that'd been shared by the group which got circulated on other Ecco fan sites, but once they were able to take payments via PayPal back in 2004 I picked up a copy of this directly from them for a whole 200円.
The group haven't done any further arrangements related to Ecco, and sadly their current site doesn't have any catalogue of their works; they are all accessible via Wayback Machine however. This is a fascinating bit of Ecco community history.
