Information:
SEGA Gold Collection was a budget label given to re-released Sega Mega Drive games here in Australia by OziSoft for their Metal With Attitude series. Gold releases were later superseded by the Platinum Collection label which is what was used for The Tides of Time. It's not known what requirements were to be branded as Gold Collection but the series only saw 12 releases, with Ecco being one of them. Asides from a new exterior box design, the rest of the game is the same as the original release.
